ifiGOURMET Acquires Marque Foods, Inc.

GURNEE, Illinois, October 30, 2015 - ifiGOURMET, a leading importer of specialty ingredients and tools for professionals in the pastry, bakery, chocolate and confectionery segments, announced today that it has acquired the assets of Marque Foods, Inc. based in South San Francisco, California. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The research was undertaken in conjunction with CIAT and Yale University. Its results will allow Colombian cocoa farmers to produce better varieties of cocoa for the world. It will render Colombian cocoa more competitive in the international market.
